Be Part Of My Journey: Intro

December 2, 2017

It only takes you less than one hour to get the inspiration you need. Graduated in journalism, a fashion and travelling lover but passionate about real estate, I’m finally at the very start of a long journey…

I was born in Switzerland 23 years ago. I’m the product of a Spanish mum and a Cuban dad. Throughout the years, I lived in Switzerland, Spain, UAE and the UK. I would say that my character has been forged by living in different countries.

After years working as a journalist, I have come to realise that real estate is my passion. Do you know when people say “when you do what you love it’s not work”. Well, it has taken me a long time to get to understand it.

Jumping from one industry to another is not an easy task, however, with passion and determination everything is possible, or at least that’s what we are told.

I remember people asking: “so in your career, who do you look up to?” I always had to lie because I did not have an answer. A time ago, I noticed on social media one of the best real estate agents out there and I liked how he represents himself. He puts so much effort and hard work into it because he loves his job. This is when I decided that “I wanna be like him” and this was the response to the question I couldn't answer for years.

I believe that when you really want to make something happen you have to actually go and do it no matter what it takes instead of sitting at home staring at the ceiling waiting for it. So I went on the chase to get to meet this person and get some advice on how to become the next best agent. After several attempts messaging him, we finally scheduled a meeting.

Can you believe I managed to be 10 minutes late…

Even though I was late, I must say that Daniel Daggers, known as the Super Prime Agent, is one of the most inspiring and kindest person I ever met.

We all think we know ourselves really good until someone tests you. At this point, you become aware that you don't really know yourself that well.

Let me explain, when I did internships and worked as a journalist, people will always point out how my English was not perfect. They would always dismiss my capabilities of speaking other languages such as Spanish and French. With the years passing by, I developed a weakness and that was making me feel self conscious when speaking the language. This drove me to doubt myself and put extra obstacles on my journey.

As a conclusion, I did learn with Daniel that this weakness will probably be my weapon to enter the real estate war.

Thank you Daniel.
